ABOUT POLONIA TODAY
A HISTORY OF DEDICATION
POLONIA TODAY® traces its history back to 1911 and a newspaper for Polish Americans published in Scranton, Pennsylvania. By the late 1960s it had become the Chicago Edition of a national paper in the English language.
In 1975, the Chicago Edition was purchased by the Anglopol Corporation, which later became the Ameripol Corporation. Only a few years later it struck out on its own and adopted its present name of POLONIA TODAY. It became the world's most-read Polish American newsmagazine in the English language with subscribers around the globe. Trusted in the United States for its faithfulness to the facts and dedication to Polish causes, it also had many faithful readers in Canada and Europe.
The motto of POLONIA TODAY is "Fact Without Favor-Truth Without Fear."
The printed edition of POLONIA TODAY was discontinued in March, 2007, and its subscriber list was consolidated with the Polish American Journal. The online edition, which you are reading, was continued. It attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every month.
Our parent company, the Ameripol Corporation, also operates the POLONIA MEDIA NETWORK® (PMN), which distributes news, features and other information to Polish American publications in numerous locales.
